Stocks Wobble Ahead of Consumer Confidence Report

Stocks are down a little under 1% to open Tuesday in advance of a consumer confidence report and in the midst of the latest Federal Reserve meeting.

The Down Jones industrial average fell 88 point to 11,450, or .77%; the NASDAQ composite is down 19 points to 2,542, or .76%; and the Standard and Poor’s 500 index has lost 12 points to 1,197, or 1.01%.

Turning to ETF trading, the biggest gainer on the day is Vanguard SP MidCap 400 Value ETF (IVOV) adding 7.22% on low volume.
